Loon Lake
Loon Lake, often combined with the Secesh River Trail and Ruby Meadows trail to create the only IMBA Epic Trail in the McCall area is not to be missed. The 10 mile loop segment can be accessed from the Chinook Campground near Secesh, ID or combined with the Ruby Meadows section to experience the full 26 mile IMBA Epic. In 2020 Crews from ICC dug-in to complete maintenance on over 16 miles of the trail. 29 crew members spent 2,744 hours building 269 drainage structures, 105 feet of turnpikes, and armoring 4 bridge approaches.
Additional bridge maintenance and trail reroutes through problem areas in Ruby Meadows will also be on the to do list for 2021. The downhill section along the Secesh River from the campground has one bridge in need of replacement and will be a priority for One Track Mind with volunteer and Conservation Corps crews for the 2021 summer.
