How a Ski Forest Became One of Wisconsin’s Best Mountain Biking Destinations

For forty years, Timberland Hills spent its summers silent. Then a mountain biker joined the CASTA board and asked one question: why are we only using this place a portion of the year? One Track Mind Foundation helped turn the 2,300 acres into a world-class singletrack in the Burnett County Northwoods. With professional trail crews, Wisconsin Conservation Corps youth, and a design built around progression for every rider, Timberland Hills is now a year-round destination! This is what OTM funding looks like in action.
