Brundage to Bear Basin Connector
About Brundage to Bear Basin Connector
The Brundage to Bear Basin Connector is a pivotal 6.4-mile trail project. Spearheaded by a partnership between OTM, CIMBA, and Brundage Mountain Resort, this trail is the realization of a long-awaited vision by the USFS McCall Ranger District Recreation staff. While initial plans were shelved due to funding and staffing constraints, renewed efforts have brought this trail to life, creating a critical link in the Greater Bear Basin area. This connector not only enhances current trail access but also lays the foundation for expansive future loops, amplifying the adventure possibilities for bikers and hikers alike.
Starting at the breathtaking 6,900 feet elevation and descending 1,700 vertical feet, the intermediate trail winds through meadows and forests, offering stunning views of Meadows Valley, Long Valley, Payette Lake, and Salmon River Mountain peaks. The trail features a blend of natural and manufactured rock sections along with smooth lines, perfect for an exhilarating biking experience. After you ride this, you will understand why McCall is becoming known for its unique “rustic flow” trails.
When combined with the Rock Garden and Lakeview Vista Trails at Brundage Mt. Resort it provides a thrilling 2,400 ft descent over 11.6 miles of downhill, flowy single track.
