About East Fork Lake Fork Trail

CIMBA adopted the East Fork Lake Fork Trail and it has since been a staple for mountain biking in McCall. Spanning 9 miles, this intermediate trail is a blend of history and natural challenge. It runs along rugged mountain streams and through a valley sculpted by ancient glaciers. The trail’s lower five miles, known for their no-suspension biking roots, offer a picturesque ride with huckleberries, smooth single-track, root sections, granite boulders, and much more.

The stream crossing at mile 5 marks a transition to more challenging terrain. For those who dare to cross and venture onward, a reward awaits in the form of a thrilling 9-10 mile downhill ride, culminating near the Fitsum Trail junction. One Track Mind Foundation invested in CIMBA and Idaho Conservation Corps to enhance these lower five miles, focusing on reroutes, drainage, and clearing brush to improve visibility and trail experience.
