East Fork Lake Fork Trail
About East Fork Lake Fork Trail
CIMBA adopted the East Fork Lake Fork Trail and it has since been a staple for mountain biking in McCall. Spanning 9 miles, this intermediate out and back trail is a blend of history and natural challenge. It runs along rugged mountain streams and through a valley sculpted by ancient glaciers. The trail’s lower five miles, known for its pre-suspension biking roots, offers a picturesque ride with huckleberries, smooth single-track, root sections, granite boulders, and much more.
The stream crossing at mile 5 marks a transition to more challenging terrain and some technical climbs. For those who dare to cross and venture onward, a reward awaits in the form of a thrilling 9-10 mile technical, and flowy downhill ride back to your car. One Track Mind Foundation invested in CIMBA and Idaho Conservation Corps to enhance these lower five miles, focusing on rock armouring wet areas, drainage, and clearing brush and logs to improve visibility and the trail’s sustainability.
