About Lower Goose Creek Trail

Lower Goose Creek, a 5.5-mile trail, is a local favorite in the McCall area, known for its steep, rocky terrain and exhilarating downhill rides. A haven for downhillers, this trail features everything from ledges and fins to granite slabs, making it a dream for thrill-seekers. It’s not just for the pros, though – strong intermediate riders can also enjoy the long stretches of undulating single track that weave through old growth forests.

In recent years, lack of maintenance has left this trail overgrown and eroded. Stepping up to the challenge, One Track Mind and Idaho Conservation Corps youth crews worked tirelessly to rejuvenate this trail. These efforts included cutting and filling to re-establish hundreds of feet of trail that were undercut and failing, and clearing several miles of overgrown brush from the trail corridor.
