Payette Lake
The Payette Lake Trail is a new trail system that OTM is developing in collaboration with Progressive Trail Design and the Idaho Conservation Corps around Payette Lake. This Tahoe Rim style trail is the first half of a loop that will encircle the lake with three single track sections built by the trail gurus at Progressive Trail Design. The west side of the trail features berms and modest rock gardens, flowy machine built trail, and a white knuckle downhill section on a spiny rock ridge. With only a few exceptions, this rustic flow trail system is rideable for experienced intermediate riders and beyond.
The Payette Rim Trail is one of the oldest single track trails in the area. OTM has worked with the Idaho Conservation Corps to clear logs and brush, fix eroded portions of the trail, and improve drainage on the trail. Features abound off the side of the main trail, including rock rollovers, toenail rock launchers, and a few rustic wooden features. This trail connects the new Payette Lake Trail, Bear Basin system, and trails at Brundage Mt. Resort.
