WHAT DO YOU DO TO STAY BUSY IN THE OFF SEASON?
When Dirt Candy wraps up for the season, I point myself Westward in search of sun and the desert. I’m originally from New Mexico, so it always feels good to head to the Southwest for adventures, camping and of course my fix of Green Chile which you can’t quite get in the Midwest
HOW DO YOU STAY ACTIVE IN THE WINTER?
Ironically the winter months are when I find myself on my bike the most. Taking a break from work allows more time for exploring new places to ride which is always fun. My go to spots usually involve heading to Salida/Buena Vista…We lived out here for a few winters. No better place than this Colorado “banana belt” to get in skiing and biking over the winter months!; Moab…usually find a place to boondock away from the crowds. Captain Ahab is always a must ride when we’re here; Sedona…hard not to hit an opportunity to ride in this stunning red rock country, never disappoints!
WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FORWARD TO IN THE 2024 BUILD SEASON?
Each year brings with it a fresh energy to create and connect with people and projects that are on the horizon. No matter what we’re working on, I love coming back to the dirt after a break feeling refreshed and ready to dig back in!
WHAT IS SOMETHING WE MIGHT NOT KNOW ABOUT YOU?
No matter what I do, I always seem to have cold hands and feet which has motivated me to seek out hot springs whenever possible ! Whether I have to hike/ bike/ski in miles to find an off the beaten path gem of a hot spring or head to a commercially established one, they all are a much welcomed way to stoke the fire within and fill my cup!
